Winter Floodlit Leagues

Cold, dark winter nights are no barrier to a vibrant winter scene at Highgate. A doubles event runs from October to March on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Winter league format

The Winter League will start around the beginning of October. For those of you who need reminding, or wish to join in for the first time, the format of the tournament is as follows.

Monday nights – Men up to and including 6th team standard, and women up to and including 3rd team standard. Players must be of a standard that they can rally in a doubles environment.

Tuesday nights – Members of the men’s 6th team standard or higher, and women’s 2nd team standard or higher. Juniors can participate if on full junior membership and a coach has agreed their playing level is to the required standard.

Thursday nights – Members between 6th – 3rd team standard played over a few courts, in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere.
