Highgate Tennis is part of Highgate Cricket & Lawn Tennis Club, based in the beautiful countryside oasis of Shepherd’s Cot, Crouch End, N8. We are an inclusive club with a diverse membership of over 400 adults and juniors from all background. Catering for all levels of tennis, we have 12 courts, nine which are floodlit and three clay. Our programme is one of the most active in the area with tournaments, coaching and social activity taking place throughout the year, rain or shine!
As a volunteer-run club we put community at the heart of everything we do. We are renowned for our friendliness as a club, making us the first choice for tennis and cricket in north London for everyone, whatever their age, background or playing aspirations.
Highgate was recently won the Middlesex Club Award 2015 from Aegon British Tennis, which makes us one of the leading clubs in London of which we are very proud!
We have strong links with our local Satellite School, Highgate Wood supplying an after-school programme for ages 13-17, have built facilities to allow wheelchair tennis players the chance to play, provide Sound Ball tennis for visually impaired and blind players and recently hosted a lunch for 28 local carers.
Our new website (highgate-tennis.co.uk) and social media activity (over 1,000 followers on Twitter!) has been the lynchpin of our new membership and marketing approach, attracting many new young members and our outreach to schools and local community groups demonstrates our passion of working locally.
We are now at a new stage in our development. Over the next month we will be re-surfacing three of our main courts and in the coming months we will be developing plans to renovate our clubhouse, create new coaching programmes for our juniors and develop new facilities. As well as working in partnership with the local council and the LTA we’d like to work together with local businesses.
With such a packed member’s programme, our facilities are used every day of the week, from early morning until late in the evening. Working together with Highgate we can help you reach a large amount of local people (most of who are ABC1) easily and effectively, through traditional sponsorship or joint marketing events and initiatives.
