Welcome to Highgate’s new website and email

Some background

As many of you know we have spent the last couple of years thinking of how we can improve the club’s communication going forward.

So, we have developed what we hope is a new look and feel for our communications and marketing that does just that.  Many of you will remember that we surveyed members some time ago asking what you wanted from a new website.  Most of you said you wanted timely information, access to court schedules, event details and news.  You also said that you wanted to ensure that we retained the community, friendly and passionate values the club has.  See the results of the survey.

Much of what we have done, we hope reflects your thoughts.  You will start to see us use the word ‘HI’ across our marketing which aims to be welcoming and also play on our name Highgate.  We will start to use this theme across our posters, emails, website and other literature we will develop. On top of this and over the coming weeks you will also start to see some further additions made to the functionality of the website.  Soon you will be able to see our court schedule via our new management system, you will be able to book and pay for coaching courses online. We will also be able to start accepting online payment for membership, tournaments and events online.

Members we’d like to thank

Finally we’d like to thank all those who have helped get the new site off the ground.  Initially planning support from Jason Kan-Bulle, Hannah Lury and Sylwia Kucharska, copywriting and sub-editing by Paul Cohen and Jessica Bavinton, words of wisdom from Richard Tusting, Colin  Bell for photos and Steve Scott-Robson for the awesome video, Chris and the coaches, Liz for attention to detail and other members of the TC and GC for their help.  Also great thanks to Ian Bailey for keeping the old site updated and for Keith Picton and Richard Rogers for their work on that website.  The theme and site was designed and built by P&D, a local firm who have children in HPT – so we have kept it in the community!

We hope you enjoy the new site and our look and feel.  If anything doesn’t work, or if you spot a typo, please email webeditor@highgate-tennis.co.uk
